The PlayStation 5 will come with a 825 GB Solid State Drive, a GPU capable of producing 10.3 teraflops and a custom made Tempest 3D AudioTech engine, among many more incredible specs! We’re just happy to hear something from Sony after all those months of complete silence, so let’s get into each of these confirmed features in more detail.

The SSD is not only going to give players instant load times, it’s also going to cut down on install times for patches, which is one of the most persistent problems with PS4 games. The PS5 will also come with an expansion bay for expanded SSD storage, which is just an awesome addition to a console that already looks great on paper. The PS5 will feature a custom eight-core AMD Zen 2 CPU, clocked at 3.5GHz, and a custom GPU based on AMD’s RDNA 2 architecture capable of producing 10.28 teraflops, clocked at 2.23GHz, as well as 16GB of GDDR6 RAM. This all means incredible graphics and ray tracing capabilities. Count us in! Lastly, Sony is focusing on 3D audio with their Tempest 3D AudioTech engine that will improve locality and immersion. While we didn’t get to see the console’s design, all this info is a step in the right direction.

We’ll dive deeper into the specs and features of the PS5 than just that so enjoy the video, let us know what you think about the next gen console in the comments section below and don’t forget to subscribe to TheGamer for more gaming videos.

  1. Biz ps5 den bir beklentimiz yok onun cd si ağır olur pahalı olur bize ps4 dün playstation now istiyoruz oda olmazsa xbox geçeriz

  2. It was funny hearing him complain about the updates having to copy because I'm only watching this video because I'm waiting for my R6 update to copy (it took 2 minutes to download the update but I'm waiting to copy for almost half an hour)

  3. I can appreciate now why they've been so tight-lipped about about PS5 – when you compare it to the Xbox Series X, it's like a Hyundai Elantra being compared to a Ferrari

  4. Faster load time and faster download speed which also means easier for techs to make games faster or bigger 😂😂😂😂😂 I’ll stick with the series x💪

  5. It sounds great. It also sounds expensive. I was just recently able to afford a PS4 Pro(that I absolutely love). I'll never be able to get this high tech PS5.

  6. People are complaining that the PS5 specs are lower than those of the Xbox Series X but take a moment and think of what happened with the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X….

  7. Awesome specs?

    Laughs in PC gaming rig
There's no incentive to pick a console over a PC rig to be honest. My PS4 Pro is collecting dust

  8. People: 2020 is going to be a awesome year!! 😆😁🙏🏾
Coranovirus : Nope I'm going to take all of your prilvages and I'm making all of u sick hahahah😈

  9. We still don’t know how the ps5 is gonna look like. btw I feel like just waiting it out until the next ps5 has a better version of it

  10. There’s so many people who’re saying that this was “so boring” or “seemed like a college lecture”

I absolutely loved it though, I’m super interested in the inner workings of the console, and while I would have LOVED to see the design of the console, I’m very happy with the specs (even if it is just a tad bit weaker in raw power compared to the series X)
